From Sydney Road Trips to Epic Rolls: Our Unforgettable Con Debut

Wow! Where do we even begin? This past weekend (29th & 30th March 2025), Dungeon Labs embarked on an epic quest – our very first Supanova Comic Con & Gaming experience, right in the heart of Melbourne! After months of planning, crafting, and maybe just a little bit of nervous excitement, we packed up not just our shiniest dice, but a whole trove of miniatures, books, paints, and accessories, ready to venture forth into the dazzling world of games & pop culture celebration. And let us tell you, Operatives, it was an experience.

The Quest Begins (Preparation & The Drive):

As Supanova first-timers, the anticipation was palpable! The dedication started right at the top – Dungeon Labs owner, Tim, personally undertook the mammoth drive, hitting the road from Sydney early Thursday morning with a van packed full of goodies, just to ensure our Melbourne debut was perfect! That long solo journey south was fuelled by the promise of an amazing weekend connecting with fellow adventurers.

Entering the Arena (The Supanova Experience):

From the moment the gates opened, the energy was electric! The Melbourne Showgrounds transformed into a vibrant hub of fandom. Seeing the sheer scale of Supanova, the mind-blowing creativity of the cosplay, and the shared buzz of excitement was simply amazing.

Our Dungeon Labs booth quickly became a little haven for TTRPG lovers, board gamers, and hobbyists. It was absolutely fantastic to:

• Meet YOU! Chatting with fellow D&D players, Pathfinder GMs, indie RPG enthusiasts, Warhammer players, and dice goblins of all kinds was the absolute highlight. Hearing your campaign stories, and seeing your faces light up when you found the perfect set of dice or a sought-after miniature? That's why we do this. It was fantastic seeing the excitement not just for our dice, but for the whole spectrum of TTRPG and tabletop game goodies we brought along!
• Soak in the Atmosphere: The constant hum of excitement, the cheers from nearby panel halls, the sheer density of people sharing their passions – it was infectious and invigorating!

Showcase Our Gear: We loved seeing what caught your eye! Those new Dice accessories were definitely a hit, but it was equally great seeing folks checking the miniature collection and flip through sourcebooks. Getting your real-time feedback is invaluable.

Our first Supanova was more than just a convention; it was a powerful reminder of how welcoming, passionate, and awesome the tabletop and pop culture community is here in Australia.
